Rick Schafer, MPT | Masters of Physical Therapy
Since graduating from Loma Linda University in 1996, Rick has worked as a physical therapist in outpatient / orthopedic settings. Starting his career in Yakima, Rick then moved to Guam to work in a PT department at a non-profit Christian medical clinic for the next 6 years. Returning to Washington In 2006, he chose to settle with his family in the beautiful Skagit Valley.
Rick worked with clinic-founder, Harold Von Bergen, PT, for 7 years before Harold's retirement. Rick's commitment has been to continue providing the personal and caring attention this clinic has come to be known for.
Rick enjoys the small-town feel of Sedro Woolley. When not at the clinic he likes to spend time with his wife and three children, cultivate and nurture a garden, run, play hockey, hike, camp and ski.
Sarah Clark, PTA | Physical Therapist Assistant
Sarah graduated from Whatcom Community College's PTA program in 2014 and has since been working with Rick--first as a PT Aide and now as a licenced PTA.
She also works part time in the Burlington School District providing therapy to those elementary aged and younger.
Sarah enjoys getting to know the patients on a personal level as well as providing the unique professional care to each one.
In her spare time she loves to perfom in dramas, ride horses, read, and spend time with her friends and family.
